Wind Blade Lifter
Lift 5–12 m · 360° rotation · blades 45–115 m
Blade lifter that raises the blade 5–12 m and rotates it 360° — for forest, mountain and built-up routes.
Overview
A blade lifter is a different machine from a blade trailer, not a more expensive version of one. Instead of carrying the blade at road level and steering around obstacles, it lifts the blade 5–12 m into the air and rotates it about the root through a full 360°, so the blade can be threaded over tree canopy, between buildings, past signage and under low lines that no ground-level combination can pass.
That capability changes which sites are buildable. A ridge site with a hairpin through forest, or a repowering job inside a village where the original turbines went up before the trees did, is often only reachable with a lifter — the alternative is road widening, tree felling and line re-routing, which is slower, more expensive and needs permits that may not be granted.
The lifter is a self-contained unit with its own hydraulic power pack, and it shares the root-clamp interface with the HEAVYLT blade trailer, so a fleet can cover both concepts with one clamp standard. Because the machine is a specialist asset, it is normally specified per project: send the blade envelope and the critical route sections and we will define the lift height and rotation envelope those sections actually require.
Key features
- Raises the blade 5–12 m — clears tree canopy, roofs, signage and low lines
- 360° rotation lets the blade be threaded vertically between obstacles
- Combined lift and rotation clears sections a ground-level trailer physically cannot pass
- Self-contained hydraulic power pack — no dependency on the prime mover's hydraulics
- Shares the root-clamp interface with the HEAVYLT blade trailer
- Reduces or removes the need for road widening, tree felling and line re-routing
Applications
- Forest and mountain access roads
- Village and urban sections on repowering projects
- Routes with low overhead lines or bridge structures
- Sites where road modification permits are unobtainable
FAQ
When do I need a blade lifter instead of a blade trailer?
When the route has an obstruction that no amount of steering can get around — dense forest, a built-up section, a low line or a bridge soffit. If the blade can travel at road level and be steered through, a telescopic blade trailer is the cheaper and faster answer. Send the route survey and we will tell you which of the two the route actually requires.
How much height does the lifter actually need?
The lift range is 5–12 m above road level. What matters is the height of the specific obstruction plus the blade's own thickness at that point, so the machine is specified against the critical sections of the route rather than against a headline figure.
Can one lifter handle different blade types?
The root clamp is matched to the blade root diameter, and it is the same interface used on the HEAVYLT blade trailer. Where a project mixes blade types, interchangeable clamp sets cover the range — tell us the root diameters in the fleet and we will confirm the set.
